What inspired you to start your blog/YouTube channel?

To this day, I still remember the very first makeup tutorial I watched (Tiger Eyes By “Makeup by Ren Ren) and I was enthralled! I remember thinking “Ive never seen anyone do this with makeup!” and “I need to learn how to do this!”
After that day I was hooked. I stared creating makeup looks, and playing around with makeup on myself even though back then I had a non existent collection of makeup. Pretty soon my collection of makeup grew and so did my confidence, all from watching YouTube videos and teaching myself. Pretty soon my friends and work mates started commenting and asking me how I achieved the looks, so I started posting pictorials on my Facebook page, and as soon as I could afford it, I bought myself a camera, and the rest is history!

What do you love the most about blogging?

Obviously I LOVE the creative side of it, and being able to completely transform my look to suit any occasion – Halloween is my favorite. But what I really love is the interaction I have with my subscribers, so I try very hard to respond to every comment I get.
I love the feedback, and hearing that people enjoy my tutorials, or even better, that I have inspired them to be more adventurous with their makeup – its the best feeling! I’m very lucky to have such amazing and encouraging subscribers.

What do you do in your spare time when you aren’t blogging?

I’m very fortunate as my job allows me a lot of free time! I work in the largest open cut gold mine in Australia, so I work for one week, then have the next week off. When i’m not blogging/YouTubing, my husband and I love Crossfit. It truly has become an addiction for the both of us! I love pushing myself and really seeing what i’m capable of. We have an amazing coach and hopefully we will be entering into a few Crossfit games/competitions next year – fingers crossed. I also love my two adorable (yet very cheeky) labradors that keep me very busy.

Whose celebrity style inspires you?

This was a really hard one. There are so many. I think I will have to go with Jessie J! She is just herself 100%, which I love. I feel we need to see more of this in the world. She isn’t afraid to express and be herself through her makeup and style. I really admire that! I’m the same as her, in the sense that I really try to encourage others through my videos to be unique, to be themselves no matter how crazy or different they are, and that if you feel comfortable in your style then you should never be afraid or care what others think!

What is one thing your readers probably don’t know about you?

Ohhh gees….. another hard one! Hmmm I would have to say that I’m PETRIFIED of roller coasters! I had to learn that one out the hard way, when I was strapped in the seat about to go down a massive drop and three loop the loops! I was so scared I couldn’t scream. The photo that  gets taken during the ride was absolutely hilarious!

Closing message?

Lastly, I wanted to say to anyone who is thinking of starting a YouTube Channel or their dream career, no matter what it is, that is IS Possible! It may take some time, and a lot of hard work, but If you look at every situation with a smile and a positive attitude you will be amazed at the outcome, and what you can achieve. Don’t let anyone tell you what is right for you, just go out there and have fun finding out for yourself.
